Plein Air Painting in the Garden

A very special feature at the Mansion this year is plein air painting on the grounds of Wildfair.  Two of our Designers, local artists Ahni Kruger and  Justine Réneau Perdunn Kovacs, will be painting in the garden on several dates in May and their paintings will be available to purchase. You can meet the artists, ask questions and watch as they capture the beauty of their surroundings on canvas.

Ahni Kruger - May 12 & 18

Ahni Kruger received her BFA from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, and her MFA in Studio Art from Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ. She lives and works in Pottersville, New Jersey, and in NYC, where she currently maintains a studio in lower Manhattan.

Justine Réneau Perdunn Kovacs - May 19 & 26

Born and raised in NJ, we moved to New Vernon in 1981.  I have tried almost every medium and eventually found oil paints as my favorite and have focused my work on oils for the last 30 years.

A graduate of Syracuse University with two degrees: one in Graphic Art from the School of Journalism and one Applied Arts from the School of Humanities.  I continued artistic study at the School of Visual Arts. I’ve studied with Lee Hughes, S.Allyn Schaeffer, David Douglas, Hank Feeley and John Traynor. Plein Air is my favorite style - there is nothing that makes me happier than capturing the freedom of a beautiful sunrise or sunset or the changing seasons…
