Wildfair

Before it was turned into a picturesque and gracious country estate in 1934, the Chester Township property had long been a working farm and site of a gristmill, sawmill and workshop for the manufacture of millstones. The original fieldstone house was significantly altered and enlarged in the 1930s to create an elegant county estate. In the mid 1990s, the house was again again altered and enlarged to its present size of 13, 314 sq ft, 7 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms on 54 acres.

Throughout the alterations over the years, the original late 18th century stone farmhouse was retained and extensive fieldstone additions created a rambling and spacious country estate. The Colonial style of the house was enhanced by small-pane casement windows and French doors and bay windows that faced the pond beyond the house.
