MORRISTOWN, NJ, September, 10, 2025 – The Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) is pleased to announce that funds raised at its 21st Mansion in May Designer Showhouse and Gardens delivered on its $2,000,000 pledge to support the new Proton Therapy Center at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center.
Mansion in May is WAMMC’s preeminent designer showhouse in the New Jersey-New York area, having raised nearly $16 million since 1974 to benefit Morristown Medical Center. Mansion in May at Wildfair in Chester Township, New Jersey, which was brought to life through the design inspirations of 38 leading interior designers and 13 landscape architects, was open to the public from May 1 through May 31, 2025. More than 24,000 visitors toured the nearly 9,500 square foot fieldstone and tile-roofed neo-Colonial country house and lovely gardens located on the 55-acre farm estate.
“We are deeply grateful to the Women’s Association for choosing the new Proton Therapy Center as the cause for its 21st Mansion in May fundraising event,” said Trish O’Keefe, PhD, RN, President, Morristown Medical Center. “Their generous donation will help enable us to provide the latest advancements in cancer treatment to our patients and the communities we serve, and will truly be life-changing for countless people for decades to come.”
“The Women’s Association’s remarkable achievement reflects the power of community generosity,” said Jennifer Smith, Chief Philanthropy Officer, Foundation for Morristown Medical Center. “Thanks to the dedication of these incredible volunteers, patients across our communities will have access to the latest in proton therapy technology. The impact of their efforts cannot be overstated.”
“The success of our Mansion in May Designer Showhouse and Gardens can be attributed to the commitment by our interior and landscape designers, the support of our corporate, industry and individual sponsors, and our industry and media partners, as well as our Mansion in May Committee members and more than 1,000 volunteers,” said Dale Scolnick, President, Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center. “We are most grateful to our Mansion in May Co-Chairs, Mary Courtemanche and Barbara Ruane, for their leadership, detailed planning and, more importantly, their dedication to delivering on our pledge to raise the funds to support the new Proton Therapy Center.”
