About

Virginia’s passion for design was ignited in her childhood, spending countless hours alongside her father, a general contractor. This early immersion in construction instilled a profound respect for craftsmanship and an intuitive understanding of how to merge beauty and function—skills that have become the cornerstone of her work. Toledo Geller’s projects, celebrated in publications such as House Beautiful, embody a signature style that balances elegance, warmth, and individuality. Their designs honor tradition while embracing bold creativity, creating spaces that are as functional as they are inspiring. When she’s not designing, Virginia enjoys life in her Tudor Revival home nestled in a serene northwestern New Jersey lake community. She finds joy in entertaining friends and family, embracing the art of creating welcoming spaces for memorable moments. As soon as the weather permits, you’ll find her on the lake with her husband, daughter, and two lively pups. A true lover of design, Virginia appreciates the power of thoughtful details—whether they are lavish gestures or the simplest of touches—to transform a space into something extraordinary.

Jessica Geller

Jessica Geller’s passion for design was ignited at an early age. As a child, she was captivated by interiors—whether it was rearranging her bedroom furniture or offering her thoughts on her mom’s design selections around the house. Jessica studied Communications in college, followed by a Master’s degree in Social Work. While working at a non-profit, she had the chance to renovate a playroom in a children's hospital—a transformative project that not only deepened her love for design but also sparked a fascination with the creative process. From brainstorming and planning to project management and, most importantly, the big reveal, she found herself captivated by every stage of the journey. In 2006, Jessica teamed up with Virginia to launch Toledo Geller. Nearly two decades later, Toledo Geller has earned a reputation for blending practicality with innovative design. Known for their masterful use of color and pattern, the firm has become a trusted name in the design world, creating inviting spaces that encourage guests to linger. In 2019, Jessica and Virginia were honored as part of the prestigious "Next Wave" group of designers, cementing their place as industry rising stars. Jessica's design expertise is entirely self-taught, honing her skills through hands-on experience, studying design books, observing trends, and experimenting in her own spaces. This self-driven approach has given her an intuitive understanding of color, space, and functionality—qualities that define her work. She’s a fan of whimsical details, playful artwork, and weaving family heirlooms and cherished memories into her designs. Her philosophy is simple: life is too short to be precious, and your home should be a place to truly live in. She’s come to embrace the occasional marker on upholstery or chip in a marble countertop, appreciating them as reminders of the fleeting moments with her three young children. When she's not designing, Jessica enjoys playing tennis, winning at mahjong, and warm weather.
