MANSION IN MAY 2025 Arlene Reilly BIO Arlene Reilly, ALLIED ASID (the use of the full term ALLIED ASID is important here) Arlene Reilly has been with Bernards Decorating since 1989. She is the owner as well as Interior Designer. She continues the tradition of offering quality design and custom products that have been the mainstay of Bernards Decorating for decades. She is an Allied Member of the ASID and bring a lifelong love of color, texture and knowledge of textiles to this work. This past year she was awarded the 2024 Design Excellence Award for two categories. One was a Silver Award for the Shophouse Category for the 2023 Mansion in May Three Fields for the space called “Walk in the Clouds”. The other was Bronze Award for the Residential Apartment, Condo, Townhouse, or Loft category. Another new venture this year was the opening of an expanded showroom for Bernards Decorating. This lovely space features upholstered furniture, tables, lamps, accessories and rugs. This new 800 square ft annex will help her clients envision the possibilities. In addition to the many years of hands-on experience helping to create and collaborate wonderful interior spaces, she holds a Color Certificate and has coursework at the New York School of iNterior Design. Her great joy is having happy customers. Her spaces often tell a story with color that reflect the soul of the home and the individual. Her work has been seen in Brunschwig & Fils “Up Close From Grand Rooms to Your Rooms” and “Can’t Fail Window Treatments” in addition to featured articles in the Bernardsville News and The Courier News. She has three grown children and resides in Long Valley with her husband and two lovely rescue cats.
Tina White
I have been the assistant designer at Bernards Decorating for over four years. I have a strong background in art, textiles, marketing and merchandising of textile products and fashions. I pride myself on managing and presenting the library of fabric, wallpaper, and trim samples. I have been assisting in resolving client services with interior design requests coming from both residential and commercial clients. My role has grown to a point where I can help scheme and present plans for design spaces. Greeting clients and helping to resolve their needs in conjunction with Arlene’s direction is a part of the assistant designer's position that I enjoy. I have had years of business expertise in operations management, retail merchandising and corporate buying that has provided me with a great business foundation. For over ten years I practiced pastel painting and have experience in local set painting and design. I also do pastel paintings focused on offering house portraits by commission. I received my undergraduate degree from Ohio State University with a BS in Textiles and Clothing.
