Melissa McNamara is the Resident Interior/Exterior Designer for the Garden Cottage; New Jersey's premiere outdoor furnishings stores and online shopping source. She's spent 20+ years in the home design business, and specializes in outdoor design for The Garden Cottage and their two stores. Melissa offers "In Home" and "In Store" consultations that include her expertise in the exterior design niche. She and Garden Cottage owner Sarah Conine won the Tulip Award at the 2010 Fawn Hill Farm Mansion in May for their "Sedona Summer Solstice at the Pool" design and more recently designed and furnished spaces at Tyvan Hall in 2020, The Abbey in 2017, and Blairsden in 2014. Ms. Conine is an entrepreneur at heart. For over the last 20 years she has, and operated a local furniture and home furnishings retail business in Harding called Garden Cottage. In 2016 Sarah developed and launched a wholesale outdoor furniture business, CO9 Design where she channels her creative side with furniture design. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Graphic Design. She is often happiest with the dirt from her garden under her nails, the shouts of her children echoing through her home, and a good glass of wine in her hand as she dreams about the next project on the horizon.
